Low Code and Cloud Native Applications

digitalscotland July 13, 2021

An organization is likely to have needed to implement a preceding stage of Migration and Modernization before moving on to the adoption of Low Code and Cloud Native Applications.

However equally they are intended for easy adoption and so adopting them in parallel is also an equally valid strategy. As the name suggests Low Code is an approach to software development based around drag-and-drop, graphical UIs so that non-technical staff can also create code.

A Cloud Native strategy designs that code to be inherently built for the Cloud from the ground up. It features the use of container platforms like Kubernetes and a modular, ‘microservices’ approach to software architecture.
